Overview

The original Powerflex P350 and P500 series were manufactured by Advance Power at their Bishop's Stortford site for a number of years until the end of production in the early nineties. They were widely acclaimed for their inherent reliability and flexibility and were sold in relatively high quantities both in the UK and internationally.

The P350 design utilised a free running inverter with upto 6 plug in output modules based on mag-amp technology. There was the facility to configure some outputs as fully isolated and there was also the option of a dual output module. Required cooling air could be either customer supplied or provided by a cover mounted DC fan.

The P500 units were based on the same design with a higher current capability on the main output and the cover mounted fan being supplied as standard.

Advance Product Services (APS) recognise the implications to end users of the obsolescence of this particular power supply and understand the need for a replacement product which meets or exceeds the specification of the original part, using modern components and manufacturing techniques.

To this end, APS have designed a form, fit & function replacement utilising a fully approved AC/DC base converter in conjunction with a purpose built signals package to meet or exceed the performance of the original power supply in all respects. Particular consideration has been given to military and naval applications and a version utilising low halogen parts and Raychem 44 cables throughout is available.

All APS power supplies are subjected to a full burn in and parametric test prior to leaving the factory to ensure 100% product compliance and are covered by a 2 year return to base warranty.

This product has been successfully trialled by the MOD and is accepted as a suitable replacement for P350 / P500.
